Dear all

The french government has issued a project of transformation of the french public Post Office in a limited company, with capital raise and sell off in order to "prepare itself for competition". It is a highly sensitive subject and a unique opportunity to fight back and propose alternatives to give a better  postal  service (including universal banking access, various general interest services and a ecologically oriented freight and mail transport policy) 

Five unions out of six have called for a nationwide strike on the 23rd of september.

A three tiers platform is to be created gathering unions, NGOs and political parties to organise the struggle and offer all the chances to a real public debate with the real possibility of a nationwide referendum to the peoples initiative as it is now possible in the french constitution.

A wide mobilisation is ongoing on the need to have a public debate and referendum on this issue, all the conditions are gathered to set up a concrete mobilisation
