Hello,

in November the 2nd EL congress will be held in Prague. The exact date can be found in the
political calender (attached). Also take a look at the ExBoard's decision (attached).

Amendments to the EL-statute will be discussed in advance by a special commission representing
national parties (but not us). The German Linkspartei, however, will probably put forward our 2 motions
that we discussed online in the summer 06.

--> If you have further requests or remarks about the Congress please tell me/discuss it here, so we can
tell the Statute Commission and/or ExBoard about it before everything is fixed and settled. 


Pivotal issues persued by the EL in 2007 will be 

-energy
-education and
-civil rights

As I conclude from the working schedule labour remains a core issue, too.

The communist Party of Moldova has become a full member of the EL.

Probably there will be an EL youth organisation by May 07.

Besides this year's summer university in Austria (see schedule), there is going to be the traditional
Europacamp from 17th to 20th May organised by the Forum of the Regions,  this year in the Tchech Republic
with hotel and camping accomodation available. Contact me if you are interested.
