[Individual-members-EL] some information....

Hi individual members,

I think at least the information about Hungary that Martin passed on to us should be interesting
enough to be published on the EL website. Or maybe the ExB issues an official statement on the
matter. It's a shame that the conflict is being abused by right extremists. Is the communist party
actively involved in the protests or just an observer?

As a former member of the German PDS (now LEft PArty), I'd just like to add to the polls analysis
that I don't think the PDS in the BErlin regional government was taken hostage by federal neoliberal
legislation. For example they raised working hours and reduced wages for teachers by state law
in an independent decision for Berlin. I don't remember any severe disagreements between the 2 coalition
parties about social issues. The LEft PArty pursued a social democratic pragmatic policy clinging to their
posts and abandoning the left agenda.
If they continue like that their electorate will continue to abandon them. their simply is no demand for another
social democratic party.

Cheers,

Uli
