Dear Uli,
I think any development of the individual membership is good. In the UK I
understand we now have a few more members but still no active UK
organisation. The website that my comrade Bob has been working on is still
not up as he's doing it as a volunteer. I exchange emails with Francis King
every so often and that's it.
There is a meeting of trade unionists with an association with EL in Berlin
on 10 Novemebr that I'm going to hosted by Die Linke. PDS. I'm trying to
get at least one other UK trade unionist to go but it's chicken and egg,
it's hard to get the interest until you can show there is a critical mass,
and it's hard to get a critical mass until people show an interest. I think
'The Left' in the UK will stay small and a few individuals for some time
yet.
I welcome any closer co-operation with the Greens, ultimately a red/green
coalition seems to me to be part of the future.
Best wishes
Stephen
