Insgesamt haben 168 981 Menschen ihre Stimme für das Volksbegehren für Bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen abgegeben. Mindestens 2,66% der wahlberechtigten Österreicher*innen wünschen sich also eine gesicherte Existenz und ein gutes Leben für alle. Mit diesem Erfolg wird es eine Debatte im Nationalrat, dem österreichischen Parlament, geben. In deren Rahmen werden die Initiator*innen des Volksbegehrens ihr Anliegen darstellen und begründen können.</span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal"> </span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Freundlicherweise hat uns Roswitha Minardi, die Pressesprecherin des Volksbegehrens, vorab ein paar weiter Informationen und Einschätzungen zur erfolgreichen Kampagne übermittelt:</span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal"> </span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">„Wenig überraschend sind die meisten Stimmen im urbanen Raum gesammelt worden. Wien liegt mit 4,34% Wahlbeteiligung an der Spitze der Bundesländer, gefolgt von Oberösterreich (2,56%) und Niederösterreich (2,38%). Auch in den Bundesländerauswertungen ist dieser Trend in den Städten zu sehen. Die wenigsten Befürworter*innen wohnen in Tirol (1,94%) und dem Burgenland (1,38%). In der gesamten Historie der Volksbegehren in Österreich reiht sich das BGE-Volksbegehren im letzten Drittel ein. </span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal"> </span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Während der Kampagne, die in Straßenaktionen, Pressearbeit und Social Media-Kanälen stattfand, konnten wir feststellen, dass viele Menschen noch nicht ausreichend über die Idee des BGE informiert sind. Im Besonderen durch die Social-Media-Kampagne kamen wir mit vielen Menschen außerhalb unserer Befürworter*innenbubble in Kontakt. Wir wurden – teils aggressiv – mit der Angst konfrontiert, dass ein Grundeinkommen mit der Abschaffung des Bargeldes einherginge und ein Teil des 'Great Reset' sei. Oft wurden wir mit Klaus Schwab und dem World Economic Forum in Verbindung gebracht. Hier braucht es noch viel Aufklärung und Richtigstellungen, diesen Aspekt hatten wir bisher nicht auf dem Schirm.</span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Insgesamt sind wir vom Organisationsteam mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden.“</span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Volksbegehren in Österreich sind im Grunde genommen Massenpetitionen, da der Nationalrat lediglich zu ihrer Diskussion, nicht aber zu irgendwelchen Konsequenzen verpflichtet ist. Aber selbstverständlich erzeugt eine erfolgreiche Kampagne einen gewissen politischen Druck. Vor allem aber gibt sie die Möglichkeit, das eigene Anliegen breit in der Gesellschaft zu thematisieren und dabei vielleicht auch zu lernen, wo man in der Kommunikation und Argumentation nachschärfen muss. Auch deutsche BGE-Befürworter*innen würden wohl eher nicht erwarten, als Teil einer Verschwörung der sogenannten „globalen Eliten“ betrachtet zu werden.</span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Die Österreicher*innen werden ihre Kampagne nach dem Erreichen des Ziels nicht einstellen, sondern bis zum 25. Juni verstärkt für die Unterzeichnung der Europäischen Bürgerinitiative bedingungslose Grundeinkommen werben. Bisher liefen beide Aktivitäten parallel. </span></span></p><p style="font-size:10pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Calibri'"><span style="font-weight:normal">Am 18. So wird zwar verschiedentlich argumentiert, aber unter Berufung auf mehrere Aussagen von Papst Franziskus und unter Beachtung wichtiger Texte aus 130 Jahren katholischer Soziallehre kommt Schlagnitweit zum exakt gegenteiligen Schluss:

Die Eigenverantwortung, die dem einzelnen Menschen mit der Gewährung eines BGE zugemutet wird, ist – darauf wurde bereits hingewiesen – ungleich größer als in allen anderen Gesellschaftsmodellen, die auf Leistungskontrolle und mit Strafe belegte Missbrauchsverbote aufbauen. Aber gerade diese – gewiss riskante – Zumutung von Freiheit und Verantwortung findet ihr Vorbild in jener Bedingungslosigkeit, in welcher der biblische Gott sich selbst dem Menschen zumutet und ausliefert.“</span></span></p><span style="font-weight:normal;">
