hier leite ich - leider nach einiger Verzögerung - eine sehr dringende
Eilaktion weiter mit der Bitte, sich an dieser Emailaktion an
EU-Abgeordnete zu beteiligen. Ursprünglicher Absender ist die polnische
Bauernorganisation "ICPPC". Es geht um eine am 19. 12. in Brüssel im
Landwirtschaftsausschuss zur Abstimmung stehende Entschließung über
Biotechnologie und Landwirtschaft in Europa, deren Text unter

ich bin in großer Sorge über die Debatte des Landwirtschaftskommitees
über die Zukunft von GVO. Wir werden alle betroffen sein von den
Entscheidungen, die bei dieser Debatte herauskommen werden, weswegen ich
Ihnnen nun schreibe um sie um Antwort auf die nachstehenden Fragen zu
bitten.

Ich erwarte Ihre Antwort.

1. Wie viele von Ihren Wählerinnen und Wählern haben Sie darum gebeten,
die Zunahme von GVO in der Europäischen Landwirtschaft und Nahrung zu
unterstützen?

2. In welcher Hinsicht sind Entscheidungen über GVO im Hinblick auf die
Bedürfnisse Europäischer Bürgerinnen und Bürger, die sich auf
Wissenschaft begründen, besser als Entscheidungen, die sich auf die
öffentliche Meinung stützen?

3. Welche unabhängige Analyse haben sie gelesen:
a) die gezeigt hat, dass den Kriterien für den Wettbewerbs Europas durch
die Interessenten der Biotechnologie besser begegnet werden kann?
b) über die mittelfristige und langfristige Leistungsfähigkeit von GVO
und ihre Auswirkungen auf andere Feldfrüchte, die Umwelt und die
Gesundheit von Menschen und Tieren?

4. Unterstützen Sie die "Koexistenz" von GVO und nicht GV Feldfrüchten?

5. Welche Beweismittel haben Sie dafür, dass genetisch veränderte
Organismen keine anderen Feldfrüchte und Pflanzen wechselseitig
kontaminieren werden in der Fläche, wo sie angebaut sind, und darüber
hinaus?

6. Welche Schritte empfehlen Sie Landwirten, deren Feldfrüchte
kontaminiert wurden von genetisch veränderten Organismen?

7. Werden Sie die Zurückweisung der "MOTION FOR A EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
RESOLUTION on Biotechnology": Prospects and Challenges for Agriculture
in Europe (2006/2005 (INI) ) (=Entschließung für eine Resolution des
Europäischen Parlaments über Biotechnologie: Aussichten und Forderungen

Geschichte

Die ICPPC hat im Juni 2004 die Kampagne ins Leben gerufen "Stop GMO's in
Poland - Create GMO free zones" (=Stoppt GVO in Polen - Schafft
Gentechnikfreie Zonen). Die ersten GVO-freien Provinzen wurden im
September 2004 ausgerufen, die letzten am 16. Februar 2006. Alle
Erklärunge, die Rechte forderten für Provinzen, sich zu GVO-freien
Regionen zu erklären, wurden durch die Behörden der Provinzen
unterzeichnet und der Landesregierung gesendet.

Während einer internationalen Konferenz mit dem Thema "GMOs, CAP,
Biodiversity and European Solidarities" (=GVO, Computerunterstütztes
Publizieren und Europäische Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühle) im Europäischen
Parlament, in Brüssel (30 Juni 2005) hat die ICPPC einen Aufruf für ein
neues 'Moratorium gegen alle GVO in Europa' lanciert um Solidarität
zwischen Ländern zu fördern, deren Bevölkerung in großer Mehrheitvöllig
gegen GVO eingestellt ist - und das Ziel eines GVO-FREIEN EUROPAS
voranzubringen. Wir gewannen die Unterstützung von mehr als 200
Polnischen und Europäische Organisationen und Prominenten sowie von
tausenden privaten Bürgerinnen und Bürgern.

Die ICPPC hat zusammengearbeitet mit Herrn Mr Janusz Wojciechowski -
einem Polnischen EU-Parlamentarier, der im Europäischen Parlament eine
öffentliche Stellungnahme initiiert hat mit der Forderung, dass jedes
Land und jede Region das Recht haben soll, über GVO zu entscheiden. Wir
wurden um unseren Rat für einen Entwurf gefragt und waren seitdem sehr
damit beschäftigt, Unterschriften anderer EU-Abgeordneter zu sammeln.

Im Februar 2006, organisierte die ICPPC eine internationale Konferenz in
Krakau: 'Europäische Solidariät gegen GVO' an der Abgeordnete von 13
Ländern teilnahmen. Wir bekräftigen nochmals die Idee eines 10-jährigen
Moratorium bezüglich aller GVO in der Krakauer Erklärung.

History

ICPPC has been running the campaign "Stop GMO's in Poland - Create GMO
free zones" since June 2004. The first GMO free zone provinces were
declared in September 2004, the last - 16th February 2006. All
declarations demanding rights for provinces to create GMO free zones
were signed by provincial authorities and sent to the national government.

During an international conference "GMOs, CAP, Biodiversity and European
Solidarities" in the European Parliament, Brussels (30 June 2005) ICPPC
launched a new 'Moratorium against all GMO's in Europe' to promote
solidarity between Countries where the great majority of citizens are
completelyopposed to GMO's - and to push forward the objective of a GMO
FREE EUROPE. We gained the support of more than 200 Polish and European
organizations and VIPs as well as thousands of private citizens.

ICPPC has been cooperating with Mr Janusz Wojciechowski - Polish MEP,
whostarted an official 'statement' for the European Parliament demanding
that each country and region have the right to decide on GMOs. We were
asked for advice on a draft of the statement and have been very involved
in helping to collect signatures of other MEPs since this time.

In February 2006, ICPPC organized an international conference in Krakow:
'European Solidarity against GMO' with the participation of
representatives from 13 countries. We re-enforced the idea of a 10 year
Moratorium on all GMOs in the KRAKOW DECLARATION.
