The 2011 EU-China High Level Political Parties Forum will take place in
Brussels from 7 till 9 November 2011.This Forum, initiated in May 2010
in Beijing, gathers European politicians from the conservative,
social-democratic, liberal, green and left political families, together
with representatives from Chinese institutions such as the IDCCCCP and
the CPPCC. It provides a tool for dialogue between politicians from
China and from the EU.

The broad theme of the Forum bears on relations between the EU and China
in particular in the light of EU 2020 and China's Five Year Plan,
looking for areas of cooperation between the two sides. The 2011 edition
is divided in two parts, the first one took already place in Beijing
last May - the Chinese side invited high ranking presenters and the
European guests met with Vice President of China Xi Jinping in the Great
Hall of the People. The second part shall take place in Brussels coming
November. The Brussels' edition seeks to deepen and continue this debate
by addressing bilateral relations, governance, food security, and social
issues.
