Call for further members of FYEG Working Group on Climate Change (CCWG)!

FYEG – the Federation of Young European Greens - is looking for young
green volunteers willing to take on the challenge of contributing to
FYEG's Working Group (WG) on fighting climate change.

The main goal of the WG is to continue the successful work of FYEG
members last year during COP 16 and to follow the UNFCCC process. The
WG will also make sure that we maintain positive relations and
productive collaboration with YOUNGO (UNFCCC Youth constituency),
other NGOs (including YoungFriends of the Earth Europe) and think tanks.

Activities will include taking part in the UNFCCC negotiations as well
as other climate conferences, awareness raising campaigns, continuous
content wise reflection on climate change, research etc.

Members of the WG are also free to take initiative on what they would
like to achieve as part of their activity in this group.

To join the Climate Change Working Group or obtain more information,
please, send an email to jakob at fyeg.org no later than 31st May 2011,
explaining your motivation and including a recommendation letter from
the National board of your organisation.

Please make sure that you include:
- Email address
- Home address
- Phone number
- Date and place of birth

We are looking forward to having a great time working with you!

All the best,

Jakob Schwarz, jakob at fyeg.org
FYEG coordinator of the Climate Change WG

What are *working groups*?

Working groups are FYEG think tanks according to FYEGs Internal Rules
of Procedure. They gather groups of FYEG members who would like to
work on a particular topic: gather knowledge, examine cases and lobby
for solutions. WGs will be given a mailing list to discuss their
topic. Working groups can also be used to prepare activities for FYEG
to carry out and for mutual training and the advancement of knowledge.
