Here are the full details of our event on 8th December.

Peace education in schools - the first step towards a non-violent
Britain?
Wednesday 8th December,  7pm Grand Committee Room, House of Commons.

Here is another evening looking at initiatives that could be taken up by
a
Ministry for Peace based on themes from the 1999 UN Declaration of a
Programme of Action for a Culture of Peace.  You are warmly invited to
attend this event that will look at a range of approaches being taken in
the
field of "peace education:"

Conflict transformation                 -  Ibrahim Issa: Headteacher,

 democracy

Juniper Peace Education              - David Keith, M.Sc: Organisational

Gandhi and Martin Luther King
     be effective in an  age of terrorism? Against the backdrop of 9/11
     and
Iraq, the  panel will be exploring the
     relationship between our deepest moral and spiritual principles and
     the
politics of a global society.

     The discussion will last approximately one and a half hours
     including
Q&A. Afterwards you are also invited
      to join us for a delicious home-cooked vegetarian dinner from
      8.45pm
at a cost of £5.
