Kosovo, February 
18-23,
2003

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS


Aim of the Training for Trainers course is to provide
opportunities for
trainers in the youth NGO field in South East Europe,
who are in the
position to act as "multipliers", to acquire further
training 
experience in
order to competently plan, implement, evaluate and
follow up training
activities of a non-formal educational nature in a
multicultural
environment.

The training course runs over 6 days, including
arrival and departure 
days.
For the duration of the course, the participants will
be introduced to
different concepts of training, training in a
multicultural 
environment,
reflect upon democratic values and different methods
of active youth
participation, and will acquire a deeper understanding
of group 
dynamics,
planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of
youth NGO 
activities.
The Training course is open to youth leaders from
primary and secondary
target countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Croatia, Kosovo,
Macedonia, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania and
Slovenia).


THE BALKAN YOUTH PROJECT

The Training for Trainers Course is a part of the
Balkan Youth Project
(BYP). The BYP is jointly developed and implemented by
the European 
Youth
Forum and CARE International in
Bosnia-Herzegovina/Croatia (CARE BH/C), 
and
runs from 2002 until summer of 2005.


All participants must comply with the following
criteria:

Be age between 18-29;
have conducted one training (minimum) so far;
come from existing youth NGO from primary or secondary
target countries 
;
be able to act as "multiplier" back home;
Be committed to take active part in the whole
activity.

*Young women are encouraged to apply, in order to
ensure gender 
balance!*

PRACTICAL INFORMATION / DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS

All travel and accommodation costs will be reimbursed
by the organizers 
upon
receipt of documentation of expenses, according to
existing financial
guidelines.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, January 10th, 2003.

1 and 2!
