Der von Reporter ohne Grenzen (RSF), Rudolf Augstein Stiftung und Schöpflin-Stiftung gegründete

JX Fund</a> nimmt offiziell seine Arbeit auf. Zu den ersten Projekten, die der Europäische Fonds für Journalismus im Exil unterstützt, gehören die
<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Nowaja Gaseta Europe</span></em> und zwei weitere Projekte russischer Exil-Medienschaffender. Unmittelbar nach ihrer Flucht vor der immer heftigeren Repression gegenüber den Medien in Russland unterstützt sie
der JX Fund schnell und flexibel dabei, ihre Arbeit weiterzuführen. Zunächst richtet sich der Fonds an Medienschaffende aus Russland, Belarus und der Ukraine, ist aber international und langfristig angelegt: Er will unabhängige Medien im europäischen Exil
nachhaltig stärken und den Aufbau neuer Redaktionsstrukturen unterstützen.<br>
<br>
In den vier Wochen nach der ersten Idee wurde und wird der Fonds von einem breiten Kreis an Expertinnen und Experten unterstützt. Dazu gehören das Recherchezentrum Correctiv, PUBLIX – Haus für Journalismus und Öffentlichkeit, die Medien- und Wissenschaftsplattform
dekoder, das Europäische Zentrum für Presse- und Medienfreiheit (ECPMF), die NGO Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT), das Netzwerk für Osteuropa-Berichterstattung (n-ost), die taz Panter Stiftung sowie das Aktions- und Informationsnetzwerk Dekabristen
e.V.<br>

„Der russische Krieg gegen die Ukraine, aber auch die Entwicklungen in Belarus oder in Afghanistan haben offengelegt, was fehlt: schnelle, flexible Unterstützung für Medienschaffende direkt nach ihrer Flucht“, sagte RSF-Geschäftsführer Christian Mihr. „Medien
halten die Hoffnung auf eine bessere Zukunft am Leben. Der Kern unseres Ansatzes ist deshalb, dass die Journalistinnen und Journalisten unmittelbar nach dem Gang ins Exil weiterarbeiten können – denn in Situationen, in denen unabhängige Medien aus dem Land
getrieben werden, sind sie so wichtig wie nie zuvor. Dazu braucht es zum einen Soforthilfe und zum anderen strukturelle Unterstützung.“<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<h4><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">JX Fund bündelt und vermittelt schnelle und unbürokratische Hilfe<o:p></o:p></span></h4>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Seit Beginn des russischen Angriffs auf die Ukraine gibt es eine enorme Welle der Hilfsbereitschaft in Deutschland und Europa bei Medienhäusern, Stiftungen und
Berufsverbänden, bei Behörden, staatlichen Stellen und in der Bevölkerung. Die Ideen reichen dabei von kurzfristigen Angeboten für individuelle Soforthilfe über die Bereitschaft, ausländische Kolleginnen und Kollegen in die eigenen Redaktionen zu integrieren,
bis hin zum Willen, ganze Redaktionen oder neu entstehende Medien in diversen Exil-Ländern mittel- und langfristig zu unterstützen.<br>
<br>
Der JX Fund fungiert als Schnittstelle, um die zahlreichen Hilfsangebote von Privatpersonen, Unternehmen, Stiftungen und anderen Förderinnen und Förderern sowie gesellschaftlichen Initiativen zu bündeln und gezielt dorthin weiterzuleiten, wo sie am dringendsten
gebraucht werden. Der Bedarf an Unterstützung für Medien im Exil ist enorm hoch. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<h4><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Erste Hilfen des JX Fund gehen an russische Exilmedien-Projekte<o:p></o:p></span></h4>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Unabhängige Medien enthüllen das, was autoritäre Regime im Dunkeln lassen wollen – auch Kriegsverbrechen. Die russische Regierung versucht heute mit einem enorm
hohen Maß an Repression, Propaganda und Desinformation die Spuren ihres Angriffskrieges auf die Ukraine zu verwischen. Daher sind kritische Medienschaffende in Russland großer Gefahr ausgesetzt und müssen das Land oft schnell und völlig unvorbereitet verlassen.
Damit sich die Menschen in Russland – und in Belarus – weiter unabhängig informieren können, sind ihre Stimmen unerlässlich.<br>
<br>
Die ersten Förderungen des JX Fund kommen drei Projekten russischer Medienschaffender zugute, die für etablierte, unabhängige Medien mit lokalem und überregionalem Fokus in Russland arbeiteten. Die derzeit über sieben Länder verstreuten redaktionellen Teams
haben bereits Konzepte für ihre Arbeit im Exil entworfen, deren konkrete Umsetzung und Weiterentwicklung nun vom JX Fund unterstützt werden soll. Ein Pilotprojekt ist die
<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Nowaja Gaseta Europe</span></em>, die beiden anderen werden aus Sicherheitsgründen nicht öffentlich benannt. <br>

In der Ukraine ist die Situation eine andere: Hier sind konkrete Hilfen für Journalistinnen und Journalisten trotz der Kämpfe noch vor Ort möglich. Über das am 12. März in Lwiw eröffnete
<a href="http://mailings.reporter-ohne-grenzen.de/c/39437892/9db82f1653b2-rac13g">
Zentrum für Pressefreiheit</a> haben RSF und das ukrainische <em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Institut für Masseninformation (IMI)</span></em> bislang eine dreistellige Zahl an Schutzwesten und Helmen ausgegeben. Internationale und ukrainische
Journalistinnen und Reporter können in dem Zentrum arbeiten, Sicherheitsschulungen belegen oder psychologische Unterstützung bekommen. Zudem unterstützt RSF über das Zentrum ukrainische Berichterstattende und Medien mit Geldzahlungen. So können sie ihre Arbeit
fortführen, auch wenn ihnen aufgrund des Krieges die finanziellen Grundlagen weggebrochen sind oder sie im Land fliehen mussten.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
