<p>in Australien hat sich die Kartellbehörde (ACCC - Autralian
Competition and Consumer Commission) mit digitalen Plattformen und
ihrer Marktmacht in Bezug auf Nachrichten/-Dissemination
beschäftigt. Sie empfahl einen Strauss an Massnahmen, darunter
Regulierung, Medienförderung, Förderung von Medienkompetenz. Es
sollte uns interessieren, wie weit die ACCC damit kommt, denn in
Australien könnte es einen Präzedenzfall für digitale
Medienregulierung geben. <br>

<p><b>Inhalt des Berichtes</b>: "We published our final report for
our Digital Platforms Inquiry (DPI) in July 2019. The 18 month
inquiry examined the market power and the impact of digital
platforms on media, advertisers and consumers. It also
investigated a range of digital issues including data collection
and consumer privacy, concerns about the lack of transparency in
some markets and competition issues in digital platform markets."

<p><b>Webinar</b>:Nobel laureate economist Professor Joseph Stiglitz
and Anya Schiffrin, director of the Technology, Media, and
Communications specialization at Columbia University's School of
International and Public Affairs, as well as chief economist for
the Australia Institute Richard Denniss will Australia's world
leading news media bargaining code, which will force big tech
companies to pay for the news that helps drive their platforms.
