Das Auszeit-Stipendium ist das gemeinsame Projekt von Reporter ohne Grenzen und der taz Panter Stiftung, einer gemeinnützigen Organisation, die mit der Zeitung
<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">die tageszeitung</span></em> (<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">taz</span></em>) verbunden ist.<br>
<br>
Wir laden im Jahr drei Journalist*innen aus Kriegs- und Krisengebieten ein, für eine begrenzte Zeit in Berlin zu bleiben. Wir bieten ihnen Zuflucht und Ruhe für drei Monate.<br>

Wer kann sich bewerben? <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">Journalist*innen, die aufgrund ihrer Arbeit für eine Zeit aus dem Fokus staatlicher Sicherheitsorgane genommen werden müssen.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Was wir anbieten:<br>
<br>
Wir erstatten Reisekosten, stellen ein angenehmes Apartment, bezahlen ein monatliches Stipendium in der Höhe von 1.000 € und ermöglichen es, den öffentlichen Nahverkehr in Berlin für drei Monate zu nutzen. Teilnehmer*innen können sich, wenn sie wollen, komplett
aus dem öffentlichen Leben zurückziehen und die Zeit zum Schreiben oder Spazierengehen nutzen. Vielleicht möchten sie aber auch das politische und kulturelle Leben in Berlin erkunden. Wir werden bei allem behilflich sein. <br>

Voraussetzungen:<br>
<br>
Teilnehmer*innen sollten in der Lage sein, mindestens in einfachem Englisch oder Deutsch zu kommunizieren. Sie sollten ferner ausreichende Arbeitserfahrungen als Journalist*innen vorweisen können. Darüber hinaus müssen sie die feste Absicht haben, nach der
dreimonatigen Aufenthaltszeit in ihr Herkunftsland zurückzukehren. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:12.0pt"><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie können wir derzeit leider keine genauen Reisedaten (Ankunft und Abfahrt) für 2021 festlegen. Die Teilnehmenden müssen damit
rechnen, dass sich Termine verändern können. Außerdem müssen sich die Teilnehmenden dazu verpflichten, sich an die jeweils geltenden Corona-Regeln in Berlin und an anderen Orten zu halten. <br>

<p><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">Rest and Refuge Scholarship is a project run by Reporters Without Borders Germany and taz Panter Foundation, a non-profit organization linked to
<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">die tageszeitung</span></em> (<em><span style="font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif">taz</span></em>), a daily newspaper from Berlin. Both the ZEIT Foundation Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius and the Evangelical Church
of Germany (EKD) support the scholarship financially.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:9.0pt;font-family:"Verdana",sans-serif;color:#666666">We invite three journalists from countries in crisis or war to stay in Berlin. We offer them a time of refuge and rest for three months.<br>

We offer travel expenses, a decent apartment, a monthly stipend of €1000 and free transportation in Berlin for three months. Participants may completely withdraw from public life, use the time for writing and taking walks through town, or they may want to explore
political and cultural life in Berlin. We will help the participants with everything.<br>

Participants have to be able to communicate in basic English or in German. Participants should have relevant work experience as journalists. They must have the firm intention to return to their country after three months. <br>
<br>
Because of the corona pandemic we are unfortunately not able to determine the precise travel-data (arrival and departure) in 2021. Participants should have in mind that time changes are possible. Furthermore, all participants are obliged to follow the corona
rules in Berlin and elsewhere. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
