    <p>ECPMF support programmes aim to reach journalists and media
      workers across Europe to ensure they are protected from harm and
      can continue their work. The following collection focusses on our
      support offers for journalists living in Germany.</p>

    <p><b>Prospects for exiled journalists in Germany</b><br>
      We support exiled media professionals in Germany, irrespective of
      their origin. The following offers are available for journalists
      who experienced repression and persecution in their home
      countries.<br>
    </p>
    <ul>
      <li>Professional development – fellowships: We support 2-3-month
        internships in media outlets in Germany. The financial
        assistance for these internships will be adjusted to suit the
        individual situation. </li>
      <li>Professional development – training: We organise and
        facilitate journalistic training and workshops, according to
        prior knowledge and interests. </li>
      <li>Professional development – language: We facilitate and finance
        language courses that contribute to the journalists’
        professional development. </li>
      <li>Legal support: We finance legal consultations for
        asylum-seeking procedures. </li>
      <li>Psychological support: We support the search for appropriate
        psychological support and cover the cost of therapy.</li>

      <b>Security fund to protect journalists in Germany</b><br>
      We have a security fund for protective measures, which enables
      editorial offices and media professionals under threat in Germany
      to minimise the risk of attacks. This includes, for example,
      security cameras for newsrooms, security guards or protective
      vests for journalists.<br>
    </p>
    <p><u>Application: </u>Covering letter, explaining the need for the
      protective measure; evidence of journalistic work; evidence of
      threat; budget breakdown of the measures planned to minimise the
      threat.<br>

      </b><b>Emergency support fund for media professionals under threat
        in Germany and across Europe</b><br>
      As part of the Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR) we provide
      support for journalists in EU Member States and Candidate
      Countries. The fund is available for practising media
      professionals who are in an emergency situation as a result of
      their journalistic work. The financial support includes:<br>

      <li>medical and psychological assistance</li>
      <li>living expenses and family support</li>
      <li>workplace requirements and replacement of equipment </li>
      <li>preventative safety measures</li>

      <b>Support for programme co-ordinators in Germany</b><br>
      ECPMF financially supports counselling sessions for programme
      co-ordinators in Germany who work with media professionals in
      exile and under threat. When delivered, the sessions are designed
      to help co-ordinators develop strategies of how best to interact
      with media professionals, bearing in mind the sensitivities of
      their situations. The aim is to strengthen the personal resilience
      of the co-ordinators.  <br>
