<DIV><FONT face=Arial>am 1. Juli 2012 beginnt eine zweimonatige Delegationsreise
deutscher und österreichischer JournalistInnen, in deren Mittelpunkt die
Menschenrechtssituation in Honduras steht. Im Rahmen eines Projektes des
Ökumenischen Büros für Frieden und Gerechtigkeit e.V. werden wir mit
honduranischen KollegInnen kommunaler Radiosender zusammenarbeiten.

<P style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=StandardLateinArial><FONT face=Arial>Die
Situation in Honduras ist auch drei Jahre nach dem Putsch von massiven
Menschenrechtsverletzungen geprägt. Am 9. Mai 2012 wurde Alfredo Villatoro,
Nachrichtenkoordinator des landesweit größten Senders Radio HRN, von Bewaffneten
entführt und am 15. Mai erschossen aufgefunden. Nach Angaben der Nationalen
Menschenrechtskommission wurden seit 2009 in dem mittelamerikanischen Land
23 JournalistInnen getötet, keiner dieser Morde wurde aufgeklärt. Mehrere
hundert Mitglieder der sozialen Bewegungen sowie Angehörige der politischen
Opposition wurden bedroht und gefoltert, mehr als 100 ermordet. </FONT></P>

<P style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal><SPAN
style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Die kommunalen Radios „La Voz Lenca“ der indigenen
Bewegung COPINH, „Faluma Bimetu“ der Garífuna Organisation OFRANEH und „La Voz
de Zacate Grande“ des Komitees der Familienangehörigen Verschwundener und
Verhafteter (COFADEH) spielen in dieser Situation eine wichtige Rolle bei der
Verteidigung der Menschenrechte und der Pressefreiheit. Ihre MitarbeiterInnen
werden immer wieder bedroht, die technischen Einrichtungen wurden bereits
mehrfach sabotiert oder zerstört. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Mit unserem Aufenthalt wollen wir die Sicherheit der
honduranischen RadiomacherInnen erhöhen. Gleichzeitig haben wir gemeinsame
Recherchen und Berichte zu Großprojekten im Tourismus oder der „Grünen Ökonomie“
geplant, die die Lebensgrundlagen der indigenen Gemeinschaften gefährden. Ab
Ende Juni werden die TeilnehmerInnen der Delegation laufend über aktuelle
Ereignisse und Erfahrungen berichten.</SPAN></P>
