Nawel Ben Kraiem tritt erstmals in Deutschland auf</span></i><span

Tunis/Berlin: Die Sängerin Nawel Ben Kraiem wird am Samstag, den
17. September 2011, in Berlin ihr erstes Deutschlandkonzert
geben. Anlass für die Premiere ist die Veröffentlichung des von
MICT in Tunis produzierten Albums „LA TUNISIE VOTE x MUSIQUE
SERA“, an dem sechs weitere tunesische Musikerinnen mitgewirkt
haben: Badiaa, Houwaida, Iman Tneni, Ines Crack, Lina und
Medusa. <br>

Die Produktion „MUSIQUE SERA“ gibt jungen tunesischen
Künstlerinnen eine Stimme. Ben Kraiem verarbeitet in ihrer Musik
Themen der Jasmin-Revolution. Die 24-jährige mischt verschiedene
Stile (u.a Folk, Trip Hop) auf Arabisch, Französisch und
Englisch. „Obwohl Frauen in der Jasmin-Revolution eine
herausragende Rolle gespielt haben, standen musikalisch allein
Männer im Rampenlicht. Mit unserer Musik können wir junge
Tunesierinnen auf künstlerische Art ermutigen, sich weiter in
den Demokratisierungsprozess einzubringen“, sagt Ben Kraiem. <br>
<br>
Das Album wurde von Wahib Soumade für die in Berlin ansässige
Organisation Media in Cooperation and Transition (<a
href="http://www.mict-international.org/">www.mict-international.org</a>)
produziert und mit Mitteln des deutschen Auswärtigen Amtes
unterstützt. Das Konzert wird durch die Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung
ermöglicht.<br>
