<DIV>Experienced qualitative researchers sought for paid short-term projects as part of The Media Map Project. The Project is studying the role of foreign assistance in shaping the development of media. The Media Map Project is a collaboration among Internews, the World Bank Institute, and the Brookings Institution. Candidates should have research experience in one of four countries: Mali, DRC, Peru, or Indonesia. Relevant language fluency required.</DIV>

<DIV>Residents of these countries encouraged to apply. The research will consist of both desk and field research (interviews and focus groups), over a period of approximately 2 months. Work will consist of writing interview guides, arranging and performing interviews and focus groups, analyzing the data, and producing a final report that combines both desk and field research. The research for Mali and Peru will take place at the end of 2011 - beginning of 2012; the research in DRC and Indonesia will be during the first half of 2011 (exact timing TBA and negotiable). An ideal candidate is a solid researcher, knowledgeable about the relevant country, good communicator, good with deadlines, and likes working in a team as well as independently.</DIV>
