Klimawandel wird erhebliche Auswirkungen auf die Verfügbarkeit von Wasser haben.
In den von Trockenheit bedrohten Regionen wie Westafrika, Teile Asiens und
Südamerikas werden neue und angepasste Wassermanagementsysteme entwickelt werden
müssen. Dem gegenüber wird durch das Abschmelzen der Gletscher in den
Hochgebirgen Asiens und Lateinamerikas die Gefahr von Überschwemmungen im
Tiefland zunehmen. Auch hierfür gilt es jetzt angepasste Strategien zu
entwickeln.</FONT></P></FONT></DIV>

new and appropriate water management systems have to be developed.<SPAN

highlands of <st1:place w:st="on">Asia</st1:place> and <st1:place
w:st="on">Latin America</st1:place> are causing an increased danger of flooding
in the lowlands. Appropriate strategies also have to be developed to counter
