[FoME] Piazza Grande Religion Journalism Award: DEADLINE EXTENDED

Greetings from the International Association of Religion Journalists.

We are pleased to inform you that the deadline of the second edition of the
Piazza Grande Religion Journalism Award has been extended to* 31st May 2023*
.

The award was launched by the International association of Religion
Journalist and FSCIRE within the framework of the European Academy of
Religion to honour and promote the work of journalists covering religion
and spirituality in both mainstream and confessional media - newspapers,
magazines or news websites - that publish regularly in Europe and the
countries surrounding the Mediterranean basin.

*Journalists based in Europe and in the Mediterranean basin can submit
their works* for the award, aimed at encouraging the journalistic coverage
of religion on the field, through work with a wide range of sources,
portraying peace and conflict, dialogue and interfaith issues, and the most
varied intersections of religion with politics, public life, culture and
the arts, society and history, at local, regional or international level.

This second edition of the award is open to works* published between 1st
January 2022 and 31st December 2022.*
The three stories selected by an international jury will be awarded cash
prizes of 2000€, 500€ and 250€.

Important dates:
*15 may 2023:* Deadline for submissions
*21-23 June 2023: *Presentation of the award
