*Head of Communication & PR (m/f/d)*

The ECPMF is a non-profit organisation that promotes, preserves and
defends media freedom and professional journalism throughout Europe. Our
vision is a Europe free of threats to journalists, media organisations
and freedom of expression.

Together with you, and our project partners, we would like to put even
more pressure on the enemies of these basic rights as formulated in the
European Charter on Freedom of the Press.

*As Head of Communications & PR you will*

  * be responsible for the overall communications of the ECPMF and for
    promoting its vision
  * strategically plan and develop all external and internal communications
  * lead the press team consisting of two part time editors
  * be the contact and spokesperson for press requires
  * report directly to the centre’s management
  * work closely with the advocacy and legal team members and support
    their daily work

*We expect you to possess*

  * a university degree in communications / public relations or
    comparable education
  * at least three years of working experience
  * knowledge of the workings of an NGO
  * strong affinity to the topics of media freedom
  * ability to provide quick and accurate political analyses
  * high fluency in English and German, and other language skills are an
    asset
  * creativity, flexibility, stress resistance and self-dependence  
  * Perfect copy-writing skills, including when quick reaction is needed
