Reporters in the Field – Research Grants

Are you a reporter who wants to dig deeper and take the road less travelled? Who insists on exploring countries in ways they haven’t been seen before?
The Fellowship program "Reporters in the Field" offers bi-annual grants of up to 5.000 € for cross-border research projects. We support reporters committed to outstanding research and inspiring stories!

Applications are now invited for a new round of awards!
The program is open to free-lance as well as staff journalists of all media. See the list below for the countries covered by the program.
The next deadline for applications is 26 February 2016.

•              Journalists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are invited to apply with research proposals based in the non-German speaking program countries.

•              Journalists from the non-German speaking program countries are invited to propose research for stories based in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Program Countries are:

•              German-speaking: Austria, Germany, Switzerland,

•              Non-German-speaking: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, Hungary , Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.

"Reporters in the Field" is hosted by the Robert Bosch Stiftung in cooperation with the Berlin School of Journalism.
