Conference "Egytian Media and Journalism between Change and Continuity", Freie Universität Berlin, 12.-14.11.2015

 

More than twenty distinguished scholars and media practitioners notably from Egypt, Germany and the UK gather to discuss the development of journalism in Egypt. Issues include the self-regulation of journalists, professionalism, freedom of speech, as well as the evolution of the media landscape and the political economy of Egypt’s media. You are most welcome to the keynote by the prominent Egyptian journalist Yosri Foda on Thursday, 12 November from 6-8 pm at room 115, Seminarzentrum, Freie Universität Berlin, Silberlaube, Otto-von-Simson-Str. 26, 14195 Berlin. 

 

If you wish to take part during Friday, 13 November and Saturday, 14 November please register until November 8th at commworkshop at zedat.fu-berlin.de for one or two days. We will charge a cover fee of 15€ per day including lunch and coffee breaks.
