We are seeking to fill the following position: 

Financial Administrator (M/F), full-time position; two-year freelance 
contract 

Tasks and responsibilities include

* Developing accounting tools 
* Accounting of long-term EU-financed and other projects 
* Budget management and control 
* Advising and closely cooperating with project managers in budget 
management 
* Preparing financial reports (interim and final)

Profile 

DW-AKADEMIE is looking to appoint a person who is versatile, inquisitive (
Vorschlag: motivated)and able to work independently. Excellent 
interpersonal and intercultural skills and an ability to fit well into a 
small team are essential. Also required are: 

* At least two years of professional experience in implementing EU funded 
development aid or external action projects 
* Thorough knowledge of EU contracting procedures (service and grant 
contracts) 
* Knowledge of EU DCI and EDF financial regulations and relevant basic 
acts 
* University degree in a relevant area of study 
* An ability to use initiative and to work without direct day-to-day 
supervision 
* An ability to communicate clearly with a variety of people from 
different backgrounds? (“different cultural backgrounds??” oder “different 
professional backgrounds?” oder “different cultural and professional 
backgrounds”?) 
* Competence in ICT skills (MS Excel, MS Project) 
* Excellent command of written and spoken English
* Ability to communicate in French is an asset 
* Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, as 
well as integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and 
decision-making skills 

Terms and Conditions 

* The position will be based in Bonn at the DWA headquarters 
* Working languages will be English and German
