*CONSULTANCY VACANCIES MEDIA ACADEMY IRAQ*

The Berlin based non-profit MICT is recruiting freelance junior and 
senior trainers for Media Academy Iraq with proven experience in media 
and a real commitment to bringing the new media scene to media houses 
across Iraq.

The transformation of the Iraqi media landscape into a quality-driven, 
professional force demands great vision and skilled leadership. Media 
Academy understands how important training and consulting is to 
achieving this goal---the production of fair and accurate news by a new 
generation of skilled journalists, media managers, and public relations 
professionals.

As a trainer with Media Academy, your work is made immediately relevant 
to the needs of media developers, whether through online courses or 
on-site in Iraq's print, radio, and television offices. Under your 
guidance, both aspiring media professionals and senior media managers 
gain practical, yet comprehensive skills in media research, development, 
and production.

This is about more than teaching good writing. In meeting the training 
goals of Media Academy, you are contributing to efforts that raise 
quality standards in media houses across Iraq. Our trainers will:

    * Teach journalists the core techniques of story research,
      development, and reporting.
    * Brief media management on their role in meeting generally accepted
      media standards.
    * Train producers in the fundamentals of the modern audio/visual
      production studio.
    * Educate NGO and government leaders on successful strategies in
      public relations.

*Requirements*

    * Background in journalism, radio or television production, media
      management, photography, or public relations
    * Knowledge of the principles of  professional and quality-focused
      media development
    * Experience as a trainer or speaker in a relevant field
    * Fluency in Arabic or Kurdish and basic English
