Auf der European Conference on African Studiesin Leipzigvom  4. bis  7. Juni 
2009  veranstalten wir am 5.6.09 von  9-13 Uhr ein Panel zum Thema Changing
mediascapes and new media entrepreneurs in Africa. 
 Kurzusammenfassung:
The panel focuses on new media entrepreneurs,
especially from the realm of religious movements, human rights activists,
ethnic movements or NGOs, appropriating media such as radio stations, TV
stations, film /Video studios, newspapers, publishing houses and websites, and
the respective consequences for the configuration of public spheres in Africa.
Die Vortragenden werden Katrien Pype, Marleen de Witte,Oliver Thalén, Tilo Grätz, Florence Brisset-Foucault und Grace Musila sein. 


Ansonsten gibt es auf der Tagung natürlich eine Fülle
weiterer  afrikabezogener Workshops, siehe Tagungswebsite.
