Wenn am Montag, den 14.9.2026 um 19 Uhr die Friedensinitiative Nottuln (FI) zum ersten Mal nach der Sommerpause im Ladenlokal, Potthoff, zusammenkommt, sind die Tagesordnung und der Terminkalender für den Herbst und Winter prallgefüllt. Die Nachrichten der vergangenen Wochen schlagen sich dort nieder, guckt Heinz Böer, der für den Kalender verantwortlich ist, auf die nächste Zeit: „Die Kriegssituation und die Spannungen zwischen Russland und dem Westen nehmen zu. Während eine gigantische Summe weltweit für Rüstung ausgegeben wird, werden Sozialleistungen und Hilfsprogramme gekürzt und abgebaut. Die VHS Coesfeld und die FI laden zu vier Vortragsabende ein. <br>Weiter wird sich die FI an die Gestaltung des Gedenkens zum Volkstrauertag in Nottuln sowie an das Gedenken zur Reichspogrom-Nacht beteiligen. Außerdem plant die FI während der diesjährigen Weltklima-Konferenz in der Türkei (9. bis 20. November 2026) eine Klimaaktion in Nottuln – die Themen: Ausbau der regenerativen Energie in Nottuln, Verkehr- und Mobilitätswende, Wärme-Wende.
