Beste Unterhaltung und eine stimmungsvolle polnische Atmosphäre – das bietet auch in diesem Jahr der Polnische Abend. Das Komitee für Städtepartnerschaft der Gemeinde Nottuln e.V. – Fachbereich Chodzież – lädt dazu alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger am Freitag, den 28.11.2025 um 19 Uhr in den Saal der Alten Amtmannei ein. Im Mittelpunkt steht eine Lesung – eher ein unterhaltsamer Vortrag – mit Matthias Kneip. Der Schriftsteller bringt sein neues Buch <a name="_Hlk214254721">„111 Gründe, Polen zu lieben“ </a>mit. Das Buch ist eine ebenso witzige wie hintergründige Liebeserklärung an Deutschlands östliches Nachbarland und seine Menschen. Humorvoll und augenzwinkernd nimmt Kneip, der zu den bekanntesten Polenspezialisten zählt, den Leser mit auf eine sehr persönliche Reise durch das Land zwischen Oder und Bug, ohne dabei den Blick für die Realitäten zu verlieren. Wer weiß beispielsweise schon, dass Polen mit dem Meer verheiratet ist? Oder dass der größte Gartenzwerg der Welt im polnischen Nowa Sόl zu finden ist? Neben kuriosen Sehenswürdigkeiten widmet Kneip sich auch den Eigenheiten der polnischen Mentalität oder besonderen Werken polnischer Kultur. Selbstverständlich darf bei einer solchen Liebeserklärung auch der Blick in den nationalen Kochtopf nicht fehlen!<br>Seit 2000 ist Matthias Kneip als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Deutschen Polen-Institut in Darmstadt tätig, darüber hinaus arbeitet er auch als Schriftsteller, Publizist und Polenreferent. Seine Reportagen über Polen erscheinen u.a. bei Spiegel-Online. Für sein Schaffen erhielt Kneip zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, so unter anderem 2011 den Kulturpreis Schlesien des Landes Niedersachsen und 2012 das Verdienstkreuz der Republik Polen.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='mso-bookmark:_Hlk182924573'>Natürlich erklingt an einem polnischen Abend Live-Musik. Die Formation um Komiteemitglied Stefan Volpert (Piano) wird Jazziges vortragen. Mit dabei Elena Volpert (Gesang), Heinrich Willenborg (Bass) und Günter Vieth (Drums). Und – klar - gibt es deutsche und polnische Köstlichkeiten, diesmal als Fingerfood, polnisches Bier und weitere Getränke. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='mso-bookmark:_Hlk182924573'>Eintritt wird an diesem Abend nicht erhoben.
