Krieg bedeutet nur Tod, Blut und Schmerzen!“ Dieser leidenschaftliche Appell stammt von Günter Sehrbrock aus Münster. Am kommenden Sonntag, den 31.8.2025 wird Autor auf Einladung des Friedenskreises an der Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule um 16 Uhr in der Schul- und Gemeindebibliothek aus seinem neuen Buch „50 000 000“ vorlesen und vortragen. Sehrbrock (100 Jahre alt) hat den Krieg als junger Soldat selbst erlebt und hat seine schrecklichen Erfahrungen in sein Buch einfließen lassen. Insofern ist es ein authentisches Buch, wenn auch fiktional. Sehrbrock: „Der Überfall Russlands auf die Ukraine mich sehr geschockt. Ich habe fest geglaubt, mein Leben würde im Frieden zu Ende gehen. Da wusste ich, ich musste schreiben! Es war meine Pflicht! Alle sollen wissen, wie es ist, Soldat im Krieg zu sein, an der Front, in den Schützengräben!“ In der aktuellen Diskussion um den Krieg in der Ukraine werde viel zu viel über Strategien und Waffenlieferungen geredet. Was er vermisse? „Kein einziges Wort über die Soldaten in diesem Krieg!“ Mit Absicht hätte er das Buch „sehr krass“ geschrieben, nichts geschönt, die Leser würden nicht geschont. Der Friedenskreis lädt zu dieser Lesung alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger ein. Auch Bürgermeister Jörn Möltgen wird zu dieser Lesung kommen. Den kulturellen Rahmen gestaltet passend der Trompeter Jonathan Wolter.
