FI schreibt an die deutsche Bundesregierung.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Bitte, dass noch viele weitere Nottulner Bürgerinnen und Bürger schreiben. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Nottuln. „Wir sind entsetzt über die Bilder, die uns über die Medien aus Gaza erreichen! Es ist eine humanitäre Katastrophe, mittlerweile leiden die Menschen an einer lebensbedrohenden Hungersnot.“ Einen Brandbrief schickte nun die Friedensinitiative Nottuln (FI) an Bundeskanzler Merz. Am kommenden Donnerstag, den 14.8.2025 sind die Mitglieder der FI auf dem Wochenmarkt, um dort Briefvorschläge anzubieten. „Wir hoffen, dass nun viele weitere Nottulner Bürgerinnen und Bürger Briefe an die Bundesregierung schicken“, erklärt Brigitte Balmer Landwehr, Vorsitzende der FI, die Aktion. Balmer Landwehr erinnerte daran, dass der Ausgangspunkt des Dramas im Gaza der brutale Überfall der Hamas-Kämpfer auf israelische Bevölkerung war. Im letzten Jahr organisierte die FI am 7. Oktober zum Jahrestag dieses Überfalls eine stille Mahnwache. „Die Brutalität dieses Überfalls ist beispielslos und lässt Worte verstummen“, leitete damals Robert Hülsbusch das Treffen auf dem Marktplatz ein. Was dann aus diesem Ereignis werden würde, das konnte sich damals noch keiner vorstellen. „Es kann nicht sein, dass Deutschland mit seiner Geschichte diese verbrecherische Kriegsführung der israelischen Regierung länger hinnimmt“, schrieb die FI an Merz. „Wir fordern, dass Sie auf die Regierung Netanjahu einwirken, sofortige umfassende humanitäre Hilfe zuzulassen, die Lebensmittelverteilung unter die Aufsicht der UN zu stellen und auf eine sofortige Waffenruhe hinzuwirken.“ Des Weiteren solle die Waffenlieferung an Israel eingestellt und der Staat Palästina anerkannt werden. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Der Brief und ein Briefvorschlag stehen auch auf der Internetseite der FI.
