Zu einem weiteren globalen Klimastreik rufen weltweit unzählige Organisationen die Menschen am Freitag, den 15.9.2023 auf – allen voran Fridays for Future. Im Kreis Coesfeld wird der Klimastreik um 16 Uhr am Bahnhof in Coesfeld beginnen. Coesfeld for Future lädt dazu ein. Friedensgruppen im Kreis, Kirchen und die letzte Generation Kreis Coesfeld rufen ebenfalls auf, sich daran zu beteiligen: „Weltweit erleben Menschen, wie unsere Lebensgrundlagen zerstört werden – die Klimakrise ist real. Doch anstatt der notwendigen Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, gehen Politik und Wirtschaft in den Verdrängungsmodus und betreiben skrupelloses Greenwashing. Grüne Märchen und Klimareden anstatt echter Emissionsminderungen sind die beliebten Methoden. Das können wir nicht hinnehmen“, so die Friedensinitiative Nottuln.
