So ruft die FI nun dazu auf, sich an der „Abstimmung21“ zu beteiligen und das Thema „Sicherheit neu denken“ auf die politische Agenda zu setzen. Parallel zur Bundestagwahl im September 2021 findet eine fiktive Volksabstimmung parallel zur Bundestagswahl statt. Organisiert als Kampagne „Abstimmung 21“ läuft bis zum 31.3.2021 u.a. auf der Online-Plattform change.org das Themenvoting. Abgefragt wird, über welche Frage im September im Rahmen der Abstimmung21 entschieden werden soll. Die FI Nottuln bittet nun alle Bürgerinnen und Bürger, sich zu beteiligen und so das Thema „Sicherheit neu denken!“ zu unterstützen. Mit dieser Kampagne soll eine neue Sicherheitspolitik entwickelt werden, mit der Deutschland mehr Verantwortung übernimmt und realistische Beträge zum Frieden in der Welt leistet. Die FI: „Gewaltsame Militär-Interventionen und Aufrüstung erzeugen keine Sicherheit, sondern vergrößern die weltweite Unsicherheit. Das zeigen die gescheiterten Interventionen in Afghanistan, in Libyen und im Irak.“ Im Rahmen der Kampagne „Sicherheit neu denken“ wird ein realistisches Szenario einer neuen zukunftsfähigen Sicherheitspolitik entwickelt. Die FI: „Deutschland und die EU sind bereits starke und weltweit anerkannte Akteure in der gewaltfreien Mediation von Konflikten und in der zivilen Vorbeugung von Krisen.
