Januar als offizieller Gedenktag für die Millionen Opfer der Nazi-Verfolgung, insbesondere<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>für die jüdischen Mitbürger. Am 27. Januar 1945 befreiten Soldaten der Roten Armee das Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Für die kleine Havixbeckerin Yvonne Gerson und ihre Großmutter Berta kam die Befreiung<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>zu spät. Sie waren bereits 1944 in Auschwitz ermordet worden. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Unter den Überlebenden war auch Otto Frank, der Vater von Anne Frank. Seine Frau<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Edith war in Auschwitz umgekommen, seine Töchter Anne und Margret waren dort eben-<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>falls gefangen. Sie wurden später nach Bergen-Belsen gebracht. Auch für sie kam jede Hilfe zu spät. Anne und Margret starben im März 1945.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Bis zu ihrer Entdeckung hatte die Familie Frank zusammen mit anderen Untergetauchten im Hinterhaus des Hauses Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam mehr als zwei Jahre über-leben können, weil sich mutige Helfer um sie gekümmert hatten.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Schülerinnen und Schüler der Anne-Frank-Gesamtschule werden die diesjährige Veran-staltung mit dem Blick auf „Stille Helfer“ gestalten. Wie in Amsterdam hatte es auch im Münsterland und anderswo Menschen gegeben, die trotz Gefährdung des eigenen Lebens versuchten, jüdischen Mitbürgern das Überleben zu ermöglichen. Im Nachkriegsdeutschland blieb die<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-autospace:ideograph-other'><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";mso-fareast-language:ZH-CN'>Erinnerung oft auf die Offiziere des 20. Juni 1944, das Attentat auf Hitler, sowie auf „Helden“ wie die Geschwister Scholl begrenzt.
