Trotz notorischer Unterausstattung leisten sie in etlichen (Nach)Kriegsregionen Erhebliches zur Kriegsverhütung, Gewalteindämmung und Friedensentwicklung. Der WN-Redakteur Gunnar A. Pier nahm Ende 2012 an einer Journalistenreise der Dt. Gesellschaft für die Vereinten Nationen (DGVN) nach Liberia teil und berichtete darüber in mehreren großen Reportagen. Auf der gemeinsamen Veranstaltung am 29. Mai um 18.30 Uhr in Münster berichten er und drei Missions- und Liberia-Erfahrene anschaulich aus der Praxis von UN-Peacekeeping und Peacebuilding. Als Vorstandsmitglied der DGVN moderiere ich die Veranstaltung und lade herzlich dazu ein. <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Das Datum der Veranstaltung könnte nicht passender sein: Der 29. Mai ist der "International Day of UNO-Peacekeepers" - seit elf Jahren auf Beschluss der UN-Generalversammlung. In diesem Jahr wird der Tag in Berlin offiziell erstmalig am 12.
