Wie können gewaltfreie Methoden der Konfliktlösung in Krisenregionen dazu
beitragen, Frieden zu schaffen? Wie sieht die Arbeit von internationalen
Friedensfachkräften vor Ort aus? Wie lässt sich diese Arbeit unterstützen und
was können wir hier in Deutschland für den Frieden tun? <o:p></o:p></span></p>

kommenden Montag, den 31. Mai wird um 19.30 Uhr in der Alten Amtmannei Sjors
Beenker, Friedensfachkraft der Organisation Nonviolent Peaceforce und mit
Einsatzerfahrung, zu diesen Fragen Stellung nehmen. Beispielhaft wird an dem
Konflikt in Sri Lanka dargestellt, was Zivile Konfliktbearbeitung zu leisten in
der Lage ist. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>Die
Friedensfachkraft wird von ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen während des
Friedenseinsatzes im gewalttätigen Konfliktgebiet in Sri Lanka berichten.
Hautnahe Erfahrungsberichte werden die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen dieser Form
der Intervention zeigen. Begleitet wird Sjors Bedenker durch Stephan Brües,
Mitglied des Bundes Sozialer Verteidigung, des deutschen Teil der
internationalen Organisation Nonviolent Peaceforce. Nonviolent Peaceforce
arbeitet unparteiisch und unbewaffnet mit ausgebildeten Friedensfachkräften aus
der ganzen Welt. In Partnerschaft mit der Zivilgesellschaft vor Ort wenden die
Einsatzteams erprobte gewaltfreie Strategien an, um Menschenrechte zu schützen,
Gewalt zu verhindern und ein Umfeld zu schaffen, in dem lokale Friedensstifter
und Friedensstifterinnen wirken können. Die Gesprächsführung an dem Abend
übernimmt Michael Keimburg, Friedensinitiative Nottuln. Keimburg: „Die
