Widerstand gegen Krieg, Korruption und Unterdrückung“ Mit einem Gesprächs- und
Informationsabend mit diesem Titel setzt die Friedensinitiative Nottuln (FI) am
Montag, den 18.4.2005 um 20 in der Alten Amtmannei in Nottuln ihre Afrika-Reihe
fort. Eingeladen hat die FI diesmal den angolanischen Kriegsdienstverweigerer
und Menschenrechtler Emanuel Matondo. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Der 38 Jahre alte Afrikaner gründete 1998
die Angolanische Antimilitaristische Menschenrechtsinitiative (IAADH), lebt in
Deutschland und ist Sprecher des Dritte-Welt-JournalistInnen-Netzwerkes DWJN. Er
arbeitet in der Projektleitung Afrika des 30. Deutschen Evangelischen
Kirchentages, der 2005 in Hannover 2005 stattfinden wird. „Von Afrika hören wir
oft nur, wenn über Kriege, Flüchtlinge oder Hungerkatastrophen berichtet wird,“
weist Ursula Hülsbusch, die den Abend moderieren wird, auf den Hintergrund für
die Veranstaltung hin. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Nur selten,
wie bei der Verleihung des Friedensnobelpreises an die Kenianerin Wangari
Maathai, werde ein anderes Bild gezeigt: Frauen und Männer, die trotz Gewalt,
Diktatur, Korruption sowie Raubbau an den Naturschätzen nicht resignierten.
„Diese Menschen“ – heißt es in der Einladung zu der Afrika- Veranstaltung –
„kämpfen für ihre Zukunft und fordern ein Ende der Herrschaftsgewalt und der
Kultur der Straflosigkeit gegenüber den Herrschenden. Sie wenden sich gegen die
massive Unterstützung der Diktaturen durch die Industrieländer“. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Die Menschen organisierten sich mitten im
Krieg oder Bürgerkrieg. Als Gruppen versuchten sie, die Presse- und
Meinungsfreiheit durchzusetzen. Sie organisierten praktische Abrüstungsmaßnahmen
und engagierten sich für eine friedliche Veränderung der Gesellschaft,
beschreibt die Einladung weiter das Engagement viele Menschen in Afrika.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Emanuel Matondo berichtet zurzeit auf
Einladung der Friedensorganisation <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:PersonName>Connection
e.V.</st1:PersonName> in vielen Veranstaltungen in Deutschland, Österreich, der
Schweiz und Frankreich über solche Ansätze und Aktivitäten – am kommenden Montag
in Nottuln. Er wird deutlich machen, welche Rolle die Industrieländer im reichen
Kontinent Afrika spielen. Er wird auf die Situation von Menschen aufmerksam
machen, die aufgrund der Repressionen im Herkunftsland nach Europa fliehen
