Après l’Algérie, la Libye et le Maroc, le président de la République/VRP du nucléaire boucle ainsi sa tournée du pourtour méditerranéen. Selon l’Elysée, cet accord prévoit la formation d'ingénieurs et déboucher, à long terme, sur la construction d'une centrale nucléaire.</SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica">On peut s’interroger sur la volonté de certains États de se lancer dans une technologie très risquée et très coûteuse, qui les mettra sous dépendance technologique et énergétique de la France et d’Areva, alors qu’ils disposent de toutes les conditions pour passer directement à un modèle énergétique propre, notamment fondé sur les énergies renouvelables</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica">.</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica"></SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica">Par ailleurs, de nombreux experts, même dans les rangs des défenseurs de l’atome, s’interrogent sur l’intérêt du recours au nucléaire dans des pays qui ne disposent pas des infrastructures nécessaires, et notamment d’un gros réseau électrique capable absorber la production d’un ou plusieurs réacteurs. Ainsi l’ultra pro-nucléaire <B><SPAN style="COLOR: green">Jean Syrota</SPAN></B>, prédécesseur d’Anne Lauvergeon à la tête du leader mondial du nucléaire, à l’époque où Areva s’appelait encore Cogema, estime qu’<I>« il existe peu de réseaux de 20°000 MW dans le monde, et donc peu de pays où le développement du nucléaire est économiquement justifié »</I>. </SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica">Dans la revue <I>Politique étrangère</I> (voir l’article « L’avenir du
nucléaire civil », in <I>P<SPAN>olitique étrangère</SPAN></I><SPAN>, </SPAN>2008/1, printemps, p.161-171)</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; FONT-FAMILY: Helvetica">, Jean Syrota ajoute que le nucléaire<I> « représenterait un moyen de production d’électricité non compétitif qui, de plus, serait le plus capitalistique, alors que souvent ces pays manquent de capacité d’investissement. Il faudrait donc trouver d’autres raisons que le souci d’une gestion efficace et raisonnable d’un système électrique »</I>.</SPAN></P>

Ces accords ne sont jamais débattus, leur contenu n’est jamais dévoilé, ni dans les pays signataires, ni en France. Greenpeace dénonce cette opacité et réclame toute la lumière sur les accords de coopération nucléaires signés par la France.</SPAN></P>
