haben wir uns wieder am Kirchentag beteiligt. Seine zentrale Botschaft, dass wir
uns alle für eine gerechtere Welt einsetzen sollen, sowie die vielen
persönlichen Kontakte, welche wir auf dem Markt der Möglichkeiten knüpfen und
pflegen konnten, machten diesen Kirchentag einzigartig. Besonders hervorzuheben
war das Engagement der SchülerInnen aus Lauffen und Bretten, welche fleißig
Adivasi-Tee kochten und neben Schwarztee und selbst verpacktem Adivasi-Gewürztee
auch fair gehandelte Baumwoll-Schlafsäcke, getrocknete Mangos, Pfeffer,
Kassetten mit Adivasi-Musik und einiges mehr verkauften. Auch konnten wir dank
des Forums Fairer Handel unsere Arbeit einem breiten Publikum vorstellen. Wir
danken dem Katholischen Fonds für die finanzielle
Förderung.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

wie das Recht auf Land, auf Bildung und Arbeit unserer indischen FreundInnen
werden nicht ausreichend vom indischen Staat geschützt. Auf diese
Menschenrechtsverletzungen aufmerksam zu machen, ein größeres Bewusstsein für
den fairen Handel zu fördern und unsere langjährige Freundschaft zu den Adivasi
in Gudalur zu pflegen sind die Ziele unserer diesjährigen Adivasi-Tour durch
Deutschland. Glücklich sind wir, dass wir dieses Jahr 8 indische Gäste nach
Deutschland einladen können, die mit uns verschiedene Veranstaltungen, unter
anderem auf dem Deutschen Sozialforum in Erfurt, durchführen werden. Wir werden
im Zeitraum vom 8. Juli bis zum 3. August in Marl, Düsseldorf, Heidelberg,
Marburg, Lauffen, Ubstadt, Erfurt, Stollberg und Jena sein. Zwar sind, nun schon
zum fünften Mal, noch nicht alle Visa erteilt und Pässe durch die indischen
Behörden ausgehändigt. Diese Anspannung gehört schon fast dazu, wenn wir
indische UreinwohnerInnen nach Deutschland einladen. Manchmal entscheidet sich
erst in letzter Minute, dass alles klappt. Doch wir vertrauen auf unser Glück
wie in den Jahren zuvor, und hoffen, dass sich auch in diesem Jahr noch alles

Gudalur wurde im Februar eine Delegation englischer LehrerInnen empfangen,
welche zu UreinwohnerInnen und Minderheiten arbeiten. Einen Monat später fand
zum 15. Mal das große Kulturfestival der Adivasi statt. Diese Festivals sollen
vor allem jungen Adivasi die Chance geben, sich mit ihrer Kultur und Geschichte
vertraut zu machen und ein positives Gefühl zu ihr zu entwickeln. Außerdem wird
fleißig an der sogenannten Bingo-Road gebaut - der Straße durch die Teeplantage,
welche von der niedersächsischen Lotteriestiftung „Bingo“ finanziert wird.

Kooperation mit den vom Tsunami betroffenen Fischern ist immer noch sehr
intensiv. Neben der Mitarbeit und Koordination während der Katastrophe hat
ACCORD sich besonders durch die Mobilisierung internationaler Unterstützung
hervorgetan. Allein durch die FreundInnen des Adivasi-Tee-Projektes wurden 6.700
Euro nach Indien transferiert. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></P>

hervorragenden Spendeneingänge von 2004 anknüpfen. Daher hoffen wir nun auf Sie
